There’s no shame or embarrassment with reaching out for help with your financial debt, and there are many people in the same boat who may all be struggling with similar situations. With so many charities and services out there though, it can be a bit of a headache working out which one to contact.

How can a free financial debt advice company help?

If you’re facing financial problems, then you’ll want to make sure you find a non-profit financial debt advice company. There are companies out there that are looking to try and make a profit out of you by offering services that you can probably get for free, so make sure you read the small print on their websites.

Free financial debt advice companies can help with loads of different things. They can offer up advice about your spending , help you draft out a debt management plan, and they can also push for what’s known as a contact freeze from your debt collectors.

If you can prove that the debt collection agency you might be dealing with has been harassing you and trying to force payments from you, the financial debt advice company can inform the debt collectors that you’ve sought out help with your debt, and that you need breathing space to get back on track.

So it’s absolutely worth your while to get in touch with a free financial advice company. But which ones should you reach out to for help? We take you through the top free financial debt advice companies in the UK.
