Do I have to pay UK Parking Patrol Office?
You are only made to pay UK Parking Patrol Office if told to be a judge who will issue a court order. The reason you’re not forced to pay a private parking fine without being taken to court first is that private parking fines aren’t considered to be real fines.
These parking tickets are similar to an invoice. If someone was to ignore an invoice, the company would need to take the person to court to make them pay. The same is true of Parking Charge Notices.
But this creates a new question: Will Parking Patrol take legal action against you?

Does UK Parking Patrol Office take you to court?
There is some evidence online that UK Parking Patrol Office will take legal action, but they will outsource this process to companies like BW Legal and Gladstones Solicitors. The latter is a legal firm that specialises in recovering private parking fines.
However, they might be making empty threats. It’s well known that many debt collection businesses send Letters Before Action to intimidate people and scare them into paying. We’re not saying this is definitely what UK Parking Patrol Office is doing, but it could be just a scare tactic to “encourage” payment.
In the end, there is no way of being 100% sure that UK Parking Patrol Office will or will not take legal action.

How much is a UK Parking Patrol Office PCN?
UK Parking Patrol Office Ltd can only issue Parking Charge Notices up to £100 as per current laws. They must offer every individual at least 40% off their ticket if they admit guilt and pay within two weeks. Therefore, the most they can charge with the discount is £60.
But changes are pending!
As of 2023, new laws will be in effect that stop private car park companies from issuing Parking Charge Notices for more than £50 (in most cases!). So if you’re reading this in 2023 or beyond, there’s a good chance your ticket will be much cheaper than at the time of writing!
