My mission in life, beyond being the best dad possible, is helping people get out of debt.
My name’s John, known in the personal financial forums as ‘MoneyNerd’. For the last few years I’ve been focusing on helping as many people as possible improve their finances.
In 2012 I was going through some hard times financially and took out some payday loans. At the lowest point I was being chased by two lenders and a debt collector – the was a point where I clicked and thought, “no more”, I was was going to beat this situation and get back on top of my finances for my family’s sake. With lots of reading, free advice centers and a lawyer, I eventually became a lot more knowledgeable. Eventually, using tips, tricks and loopholes I got on top of my finance and with one of the loans I didn’t pay back a penny! Since then I’ve been helping people like you improve their finances.
How Can I Help you?
I know debt is a deeply personal thing and it can be difficult to think about it, let alone do anything about it. In my articles, I try and make everything super simple. Very often the first step takes less than 60 seconds. Do enough 60-second jobs and you’ll wake up one-day debt-free.
I have over 20 years financial services experience, so it’s safe to say that I know the industry inside out. I use this knowledge to give the best advice possible. Whilst I’m legally not allowed to give personal financial advice, I can give generic advise which applies to most. Flow my simple process and over time you’ll find yourself in a better financial situation. My top posts are in the menu, that’s a good place to start.
Update: Welcome Aboard Rob!
I would like to welcome Robert Wright as my partner at MoneyNerd. Rob’s joined MoneyNerd and will be helping me expand the blog so we can reach and help more people.
Rob grew up in the same area as me and we’ve known each other for years. He’s been working in finance for almost 20 years, so brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. The main reason we chose to partner though was our similar glasses! – very on-brand!
Contact us using my contact form or email me: moneynerduk (at) gmail.com. I’m always open to new opportunities.
