EUI Limited is the company behind the Admiral trading name. An EUI entry on your bank statement may relate to an insurance payment. The description alone does not establish that you are in arrears or being pursued by a debt collector.
Start by checking the amount, date and payment type with your bank and insurance records.
In this article, we’ll cover:
- Who EUI Limited is and how to identify the payment.
- How to check whether a payment or requested balance is correct.
- The options you have if EUI Ltd contacts you.
- The difference between an insurance payment and a debt demand.
- How to manage if you can’t pay your debt.
An unfamiliar payment can be concerning, but its description alone does not prove that collection action has started.
That’s why we’re here to provide helpful advice on how to handle the situation.
Why is EUI taking payments and getting in touch with you?

Are they allowed to chase you for debt?
If a separate debt collector contacts you, verify its authority with the insurer. Ordinary debt collectors cannot force entry or seize belongings. Court enforcement requires the appropriate legal authority.
If you believe the payment or balance is wrong, use the insurer’s complaints process and keep the evidence.
Your Rights With Debt Collectors
The collection guidance below is relevant if you receive an actual debt demand. It does not establish that an EUI payment is overdue.
Check out the table below to learn what debt collectors can and can’t do. For more information, make sure to check out our detailed guide.
| Debt collectors may | Limits and protections |
|---|---|
| Contact you to seek payment | For regulated consumer credit, contact must be at reasonable times and respect reasonable requests about when, where and how you are contacted. |
| Ask to discuss the debt at a home visit | A collector has no bailiff powers, cannot force entry or take goods, and should leave when asked. |
| Explain possible court action | They must not mislead you about their powers or threaten action they cannot lawfully take. |
| Discuss an affordable repayment or settlement | Get agreed terms in writing and obtain free advice if you dispute the debt or cannot afford payments. |
| A creditor may seek a separate court enforcement order | A CCJ alone does not give a collector access to your bank account. A third-party debt order requires a separate court process. |
| A creditor may assign a debt | Check who owns it and who is authorised to collect; do not disclose payment details to an unverified caller. |
| Make proportionate follow-up contact | Harassment is prohibited. Requests about contact must be considered; necessary legal notices may still be sent. |
What to do if you cannot pay your debt?
Contact the insurer promptly if you cannot afford a payment. Ask about available support and the effect on cover. Cancelling a Direct Debit does not cancel the policy or necessarily settle what is owed.
If you have wider debt problems, a free debt adviser can compare suitable options. Formal debt solutions have eligibility rules, costs and consequences; an unfamiliar bank entry alone is no reason to choose one.
Whatever you do, don’t ignore your debt.
We compiled some useful information to help determine the best course of action for you.
How the introduction works
The Debt Advice Service can discuss your circumstances and explain available options, including their benefits, costs and risks.
Options depend on your circumstances. You decide whether to proceed.
