Why would you get a Baysentry parking ticket?
You could get a Baysentry parking ticket for several reasons. But it’s typically because you allegedly committed a minor parking infringement.
The operator claims you ‘breached the terms and conditions’ of using a car park. The result? You get a parking ticket whether it’s left on your windscreen or sent in the post!
The most common reasons for getting a parking ticket on private land include:
- You weren’t parked in a bay correctly
- You used a bay designated for the disabled or families with children
- You failed to pay
- You got back to your car after your allotted time expired
That said, the RAC found that the number of parking tickets being issued is up by nearly 30%! The report also found that misleading and deliberately confusing signage in private car parks is part of the problem.2
This means that a large number of the fines issued come from genuine mistakes and poor signaling!

Should you pay a Baysentry Solutions Parking ticket?
Whether you pay the parking ticket depends on several things. You should consider the following before automatically paying the fine:
- Was the parking ticket given correctly?
- Were you given a grace period before it was issued?
- Are the details on the parking fine correct?
- Did you receive the parking ticket within 14 days of the alleged parking violations?
If you decide to pay the fine, you must do so within 28 days of it being issued. However, if you pay within 14 days, you’ll pay a discounted amount of as much as 40%.
You can pay a Baysentry parking fine online or by phone using either a debit or credit card.
I was recently featured in The Sun about parking tickets, where I encouraged everyone to check whether the ticket was issued by a member of a trade association. If they aren’t, then they probably can’t get your details from the DVLA to pursue you.
What happens if you ignore a Baysentry Solutions Parking ticket?
When you ignore a Baysentry Solutions parking ticket, they will send your details to a debt collection agency. As BPA members, the operator can retrieve the registered keeper details from the DVLA.
You may have to pay additional costs!
But first, you’ll get payment reminders from the operator. If after 28 days you don’t respond, things escalate. Finally, the debt collection agency may be instructed to send you a Letter Before Action (LBA).
Lastly, you could end up having to attend a court hearing. If the judge rules you have to pay, you won’t have any option but to pay. You could also get a CCJ on your credit record.
A County Court Judgement remains on your credit history for 6 years. After that, you’ll find it difficult to borrow money, get a credit card, bank loan or any other financing.
My advice? Never ignore a parking charge notice you get on private land.

How do you appeal a Baysentry Solutions Parking ticket?
You must appeal a Baysentry Solution parking ticket within 28 days of receiving it. If you wait too long, you lose your right to challenge the fine!
You must also provide the correct information when you appeal a parking fine online. This includes:
- The Baysentry Solution parking ticket reference number
- Your vehicle registration details
Here’s a quick table summarizing the process to appeal your parking ticket.
Process: | Steps you should take: |
---|---|
When you receive the ticket… | You should gather as much evidence as you can to support your appeal claim and prove that the ticket was unfairly issued. |
If you were given the ticket in person/attached to your car… | You must make an informal appeal (sent to the local authority/council that issued the PCN) within 14 days. This should be a letter with the evidence proving why the ticket was incorrectly given. |
If it was posted to you… | You will be given 21 days to submit an informal appeal (from the day you received the letter). Your informal appeal should be a letter with the evidence proving why the ticket was incorrectly given. |
If the informal appeal is rejected… | You will receive a Notice to Owner and will have 28 days to respond to this with a formal appeal. You can conduct the formal appeal online or via paper form. The Traffic Penalty Tribunal can send you one of these forms. |
If the formal appeal is rejected… | You will receive a Notice of Rejection. From here, you are free to challenge the council’s verdict at an independent tribunal. |
If the independent tribunal disagrees with your appeal… | You should pay the ticket within 28 days of the tribunal rejecting your appeal. If you don’t, the fine will be increased by 50%. If you don’t have the money to pay the fine, you should contact Citizens Advice or another debt charity. |
Your appeal was rejected. What happens next?
You can take the matter to POPLA when your parking ticket appeal gets rejected. But you must lodge an appeal with the operator beforehand.
You were not the driver when the parking ticket was issued. What should you do?
If you weren’t the driver when the ticket was issued, you must tell the operator who was. In short, you must give Baysentry Solutions the following information in writing:
- Name of the driver
- Driver’s address
This is called a ‘transfer of liability’. But you must prove you weren’t the driver. If you are the registered keeper, you may still have to pay for the parking ticket!

Will Baysentry Solutions take you to court for an unpaid parking fine?
Yes, you could be taken to court for an unpaid Baysentry Solutions parking ticket.
But the fine must have been issued correctly!
My advice? Appeal the parking ticket or pay it within 14 days to benefit from the lower amount. But never ignore the parking ticket because it will get expensive.
