Capital One had some technical issues which meant customers were unable to log in to their online account and make a payment – a nightmare for those of us who want to keep on top of our bills!
Capital One made an announcement on Twitter yesterday morning and are working on a fix as a priority.
People are super frustrated, understandably so. For example some people are trying to make a payment on the day of their payment deadline – if they can’t make the payment then they face potential late fees and even worse than that, a negative mark on their credit report.
Capital One seems to be keeping us all updated on Twitter, so check there if you’re affected.
If you’re not yet a Capital One customer, you may want to think twice and go with a supplier that has better technical infrastructure that can stay up and running.
We’re no longer in the day and age where customers are satisfied popping into a bank or having to make a phone call. A digital experience is critical for us. Take note Capital One.
