Creditors Asking for Payment After Debt Relief Order Approved

If you have been approved for a Debt Relief Order (DRO), your creditors are not allowed to contact you asking for payment or threatening legal action. Before you contact the Official Receiver at the Insolvency Office about the incident, make your creditors or debt collectors aware of their breach with this free letter template. Sending our letter should be the last contact you have with your creditors.

Hold Action While You Apply for a Debt Relief Order

Have you applied for a Debt Relief Order? The usual processing times of DRO applications have slowed down in 2021. This is one of many reasons why it is important to ask your creditors to hold action on your account – and freeze interest – while you apply for the DRO. Our letter template will help you get the message across to your creditors effectively.

Hold Action While You Move your DMP

If you are not just cancelling your DMP but moving it to another provider, it is best to let your creditors know what is going on. Moving your DMP could create a delay that forces you to miss a payment. You don’t want to aggravate your creditors and cause them to withdraw from the DMP agreement, so keep them in the loop with this letter. It will ask them to hold action on your account while the DMP switch takes place.
